Program: Implementation of Electronic Signatures on the Web
Speaker: Sal Vitti, sal@precisioncare.com
CTO and Vice President of Development and Technology
PrecisionCare Software
New Paltz, NY
About the Topic:
With the recent acceptance of electronic signatures by the
Office of Medicaid Inspector General and the New York Office for
People with Developmental Disabilities, the dream of a paperless
medical record can now be achieved. This lecture will focus on
the technology used to implement a regulatory compliant
electronic signature within PrecisionCare. We will explore the
logic being used to authenticate the user signing a document
along with the database implementation that guarantees the data
within it has not been altered after being stored.
PrecisionCare Software uses the latest software technology to
integrate security, reliability, flexibility and usability into
an affordable solution. The application is served over the
internet utilizing the latest in secured communications. Digital
certificates, encryption, hashing algorithms, and strong
passwords are some of the technologies used to ensure HIPPA
compliance of medical data being streamed over the web.
