About the Topic
Swift, Apple's shiny new programming language, has been rapidly gaining usage and popularity. This overview of Swift will cover basic syntax, language features, and high level direction of the language on non-Apple platforms.
About the Speaker
Chris Garrett is a mobile software developer based in the Hudson Valley. He has decades of experience programming in a variety of languages, including FORTRAN, C, C++, Smalltalk, Java, Ruby, and Objective-C. His most recent two years are in Swift. Chris does a mixture of contract development as well as working on his own mobile games. His most recent games are QatQi and Moji Match.
