About the Topic

As everyone knows: The one-time pad cipher was invented in 1918 by Gilbert Vernam. It works by exclusive-ORing the key stream one character at a time with the message. It requires true random numbers to be absolutely secure. None of these statements are true.

About the Speaker

Frank Rubin has an M.S. in mathematics, and a Ph.D. in computer science. He has been involved with computers for more than 60 years, and with cryptography for even longer. He is the owner of Master Software Corporation, which produces high-security encryption software. He is the author of the forthcoming book Unbreakable Cryptography.
